László István Tóth (born 1971) took over the leadership of Kecskemétfilm Ltd. as Managing Director and Producer in January 2026, bringing with him over three decades of profound professional experience. His career at the studio began in 1989, allowing him to master nearly every facet of the traditional 2D animation industry. Over the years, he has held numerous pivotal roles, including clean-up artist, animator, supervisor, technical director, and project manager, associate producer.
He has played a key role in the production of over twenty feature films, as well as numerous popular series, short films, and commercials.
His professional foundation was built under the guidance of legendary masters of the craft. He considers Ferenc Mikulás, Vera Vécsy, Mária Horváth, Lajos Nagy, Péter Szoboszlay, and Balázs Pál Nagy as his primary mentors in Kecskemét, while his vision was further refined by Budapest-based luminaries such as József Gémes, Marcell Jankovics, Béla Ternovszky, and Sándor Békési.
A global perspective is central to his leadership style. During his career, he has spent significant time working in animation studios in Berlin, Luxembourg, and Manila, fostering extensive international relationships that continue to shape his professional attitude.
As a dedicated advocate for lifelong learning, he is currently expanding his expertise through studies in communication and media. He is equally passionate about nurturing the next generation, regularly mentoring students also from abroad and organizing specialized training programs at the studio.

Beyond his roles within the studio, László István Tóth represents Kecskemétfilm at major international forums and is an active member of the Hungarian Animation Producers Association.
